I usually prefer longer poems, nj, but this is so tightly constructed, I was left reading it over and over again.

I like the transfiguration, for lack of a better word, of the Muse from something ethereal to an almost compulsive "gossip" and "unwilling fist." That stopped me dead in my tracks.
