This reads very good for me and I enjoyed it a lot. You made me sympathize very much with the monster and laugh with her predicament. I did not understand well the reference to Athena in the title. Are you identifying her completely with Medusa because of the snakes in her helmet or is it to do with her rivalry with Poseidon, or you just take the piss referring to her not-negotiable virginity?

Some Medusa origin stories regard Athena as the one who punishes Medusa with the curse. After, of course, Medusa is raped by Poseidon. She's always getting the shit end of the stick from women and men. Her head is the only part of her body worth mentioning. She has no body; she is a floating, dangerous, severed head.
