Or, if it really was Wyatt's imagination and she was not really seeing Glenn that much, you could have spelled that out as well. As it was, it seems to me that he should still have unanswered questions that could come back to bite them again later.
I also did not understand her comment about Wyatt being "backward". I know my definition of that word and it does not appear to fit the context in which it was used.
That being said, I still really enjoyed the story and gave it five stars. Thanks and keep on writing!

Clever twist at the end
But for someone who was supposed to always have been in love with Wyatt, she sure spent a lot of time with Glenn. And for a supposedly smart guy, Wyatt came across as a real dummy. A good story, saved by the ending. I would have liked for Wyatt to be a LITTLE smarter than you portrayed him but it was all good at the end. One other little thing that bothered me. If she was as clever as you showed her, she should have been making good money. That, combined with his teacher's salary and his little bit from coaching, should have given them more money than you gave them. Just a nitpick, but I'm just saying.

Oh! AND... When her and Wyatt kissed...? She asked him NOT to tell Glenn... Why...? She cared for Glenn...? That would put the lie to what she just told Wyatt... Because SHE was afraid of Glenn...? Then WHY mess with him by conspiring with his wife with emails... Because SHE was worried he'd do something to WYATT...? If she loves Wyatt and thought Glenn might hurt him, WHY would she have ANYTHING to do with Glenn...? None of these make sense...
And, incidentally, I doubt "Every girl in town wanted to be with" him during that platform and mud incident - face it, some would be shallow enough to want hunky Glenn instead of chivalrous Wyatt and SOME self-centered enough to not want to be seen with a klutz covered with mud... No matter HOW much a better choice he might have been as husband material - assuming you wanted to only have to get married once and have a husband who would remain faithful...
And finally, you DID pull a fast one the way bad mystery writers do by introducing all of that info from Ellie at the end... I mean we'd have been less likely to assume he was right about being her second choice if WE knew she went to ALL of his sporting events and only watched him... you could have solved that by saying he always saw her cheering teams on (school spirit, whatever)... but leaving out that the ONLY teams she cheered on were ones he was in...

For once a story with a happy ending
It was short and sweet and I liked it. Also for once it had a happy ending no guns, no ex-seals etc.

Something Doesn't Compute In This Story
There are just too many unexplained problems with Ellie's explanation at the end. Why did she continue to go out with Glenn and ignore Wyatt whenever Glenn was around? Why did Glenn know about Ellie's pubic area in his story about taking her cherry? There is just too much Glenn in the picture to believe that where there was smoke, there was no fire. Someone devoted to Wyatt would have turned Glenn down and paid more attention to Wyatt. She always gave first preference to Glenn and went out with him exclusively. Wyatt was right in believing that he was second fiddle because from all the evidence he was, at least until Marsha came along. I just don't buy her story and would keep an eye on her in the future.
I had to give this 5 stars. I've read it a few times and have to admit I do tear up. Hey I'm a girl we do that kinda thing lol. Very few write about strong women so it's always good to read one. While Wyatt is not what I'd call a wimp he's a lovely guy. He's one of those wonderful guys who take up some kind of caring job. It's no surprize that he's a teacher. Not an easy job; and it takes strength of character to do it. I loved how Ellie was able to stand up for her family. Admittedly she must have almost; given poor Wyatt a heart attack lol. The marital confusion was all Ellie's fault. But to be fair I think that she was aware of that. In my opinion both Wyatt and Ellie were well matched. And even very likeable characters. As for Glenn's observations of Ellie's pussy. I don't think that there is a single High School kid that has not 'peeked.' At a member of the opposite sex at some point. But once again thanks for a heart warming story with a 'happy' ending.
