to the contrary

Reasons to NOT buy a new car:
1) That new car smell, it is caused by adhesives and other chemicals - you are sniffing glue when you drive or ride in a new car.
Farts may be gross but are also less toxic.

2) Depreciation, as soon as you sign on the line to buy a new car it loses a minimum of $3000 in value from what you pay for it.
Better choice; a lease return car, lease rules only allow lower than average mileage without penalty, and maintenance is required.

But you do have some points about car salesman, the back of my first car was bondo and rust.

I gotta disagree

With both Susan and Tw0Cr0w.

This is the Literotica site. Lets face it, you two are asking the annonymousies too have to choose between sniffing glue or sniffing used car seats.

Poor dears, so many choices. Beset by such an olfactory decision.

My first car - was used

I bought it from the owner of a dealership who was a family friend, neighbor, and member of our church. It had belonged to the mother of the dealer's wife. The car had receipts for all for a record of all routine and scheduled upkeep since new. The maintenance records indicated that it had recently had a tune up and that all systems were in better than new condition.
Two weeks after buying it the brakes gave out. One week later the engine seized up. Of course they refused to repair or take back the car. Their estimate to replace the brakes and rebuild the engine was higher than my original purchase price.
I was not yet married so it was I who got serviced while asking for directions.

Some thoughts about car buying and owning and I do like Susan's style!

Cars, computers, combines and chartered buses are all no better than the dealer available to service them, unless like Susan mentions you have the ability, time, tools and tenacity to repair yourself. Half the fun of buying a new car is going through the ordering process, looking at the brochures, color charts and upholstery selections to personalize a vehicle that 'says mine'-not some clone from a dealer's stock. In the fall of 1972 I had decided on a Chevrolet Corvette as 1973 would be the 20th anniversary of the models introduction. My salesman wanted me to get one from another dealer about 100 miles away rather than waiting for the special ordered unit and the local dealer in turn would promise them one of their incoming lot cars. I did go and look at it, but it was a 'stripper' with manual everything and while I had no problem with the manual 4 speed, I desired power brakes, steering, windows, AM-FM Stereo and the custom leather interior. With the Corvette being an 'allocated car' based on dealer sales, it could be weeks or months before mine was given build preference and sequencing. I ended up waiting 10 months because other people were willing to take 'dealer spec'd' cars and my dealer kept selling them to the 'chumps' that were willing to buy them. I did enjoy my car for many years and had many Corvettes in future years, along with Cadillac's, Riviera's and Datsun Z-Cars. My area was never a strong Ford Mustang GT stronghold, but I hold nothing against the cars and/or owners themselves. As I progressed into the mortuary business and had an interest in the intercity charter bus service, the same thing held true, order what you want and you didn't have to pay for the options loaded on to make the dealer or distributor money. One of the best parts is you get the interior and exterior colors you desire. People will also be lined up to pay a premium for your used vehicle when your company wants a new one because of the care and quality your coach has had. I'm going to be interested in what else Susan Jill Parker has in store for us with future chapters, she's one foxy lady who really knows her cars and the erotic sidebars are just icing on the cake! Five stars for this great feature ( notice SJP, I didn't say 'story' ) because it's so much more-really makes me smile and yes, chuckle inwardly as I make this a favorite and check off five stars. :) Smiling Jaybird :) BTW- doing this on my smart phone is a real PITA, but so worth the enjoyment! >:)
