Interesting read

Nice story. How about a hybrid story of science fiction, and loving wife. Personally, I would never take responsibility for another man's child. If, I were married, then my wife would have to figure out how to support the child on her own. Unless, she figure out who the father was, then she should go after child support. I would probably divorce her, but not end the relationship. I am a total believer in keeping individuality in any marriage. Separate finances, and a shared bank account for the household for bills, and other needs. Prenupt should be a given nowadays. Just like real life, there are no innocent people here. No one is blameless in their situation.

Good blend

Nice mix of LW and Sci-Fi. And, as Hapless stated, much more LW than Sci-Fi. Minor quibbles ... did SuperGeek give them the 'vacation' JUST to get them off his case? Seems like a big compromise for a small* gain! Did Austin have their reports ready upon their return?
*Earth clocks only moved TWO hours during their 72 Alien Hour stay (which seems to have also lasted 6 weeks of gestation time?). Is that two Earth Hours all that Austin gained of having his bosses off his back?

I would have arranged to either 'exile' the ex-spouses (with better jobs in far-away places) OR to have drafted SuperGeek Austin to go with us to figure out how to make a fortune from frequent visits to get 'Horny Grapes!' Also, can't believe they didn't try the 'goo' quietly on some likely Senior Citizen residents ... bugger what the lab might have thought.

Morality ... Well, Hubby was suspect from a rich history involving LWs, BUT the actions of the two directors in Never-Never Land were subject to alien biochemical forces of possibly irresistible magnitude. (i.e. - probably not their fault!). Sweetie's gang-bang was subject to predictable and known chemical and social forces. (i.e. - clearly her fault!)

5*

Brian was a hypocrite. He had the nerve to get mad at 1st wife for having unprotected sex when he did the same. At least she told him what happened. His cowardly behind left the marriage like he was a saint.

while a cute story there are just too many holes in the premise

If he was truly in love with Virginia why didn't he work with a medical or psychiatric Dr. to remedy his problem rather than give her a permission slip? Why didn't the two of them go back to Austin for another trip during which they could get more supplies? Or just to figure out where they had been and what else they might discover? Where did Austin go during his 72 hours? Why did the effects of the grapes (or liquid) continue long after they returned from their 3 day excursion? And who or what is Beatrice?
I know, I know, it's fantasy/fiction. But a little bit of help filling in the gaps would be nice.

Wha?

This is simply a story about cheaters with no concern for anyone else. What about her husband? The writer has no more interest in him than the wife did. What about Virginia? Her husband told her she could fuck around then dumped her for - fucking around? Where is the sense in that? This story is most interesting in that it appears to have been written not only from the point of view of a cheater, but by a cheater himself! There is absolutely no concern for other people in this story. It is like being trapped in the creepy mind of a sociopath! Yuck!

For once I agree with Sugna

This was all over the place. I don't mind that you had a sci fi element, but you never had a reveal. I mean, suddenly they were screwing each other raw for weeks? and now three days later she is six weeks pregnant and...

The emotion was just lacking. 'I'll fuck you...now I'll fuck you...now I'll fuck you." The typing thing didn't go anywhere and the space time rift didn't go anywhere. All of these were separate elements which promised something and never paid off.

Sci-fi element underdeveloped

The dimension hopping comes across as too much of a plotdevice, rather than being a fleshed out part of the story. After the travel and the decomposition of the fruits, it was just disregarded afterwards, with no word about repeat trips, or how anything related to the tech could revolutionize the world, or what their colleague spent his time on while they were busy screwing for six weeks, both elements really strains my SoD.
A big disappointment.
