there is a popular band Dying Fetus but i did'nt get any allusion to the
Festival of Fetus in Google : sorry for my ignorance but this is surely referring to a long-ago Empire or Civilization ??

If a bad horror movie I saw as a kid, freaked the bejesus out of me then,
Children of the damned. Or something like that.
Liked the play on maze and corn good double meaning. Reads like a grade horror taken from a b grade script :p

Although, it was not my intent to write a something cryptic for everyone to figure out.
Instead, I wrote this ( hurriedly I might add ) for a challenge laid down by another poet in another poetry forum. It was supposed to be about

"He Who Walks Behind the Rows" is the name of the unseen presence - a demonic fertility-spirit that created a cult of corrupted youths and commanded them into killing their elders so as to start a twisted harvest in which the old would be replaced by the new. (wikia) [/airquote]
which I immediately recognized as the evil entity from Children Of The Corn written by Stephen King.
I also took some liberties with the story.
The final line is a not so subtle lame clue :
The Harve ========= st Evenin' King
Chlidren of the cornprone
and all started tellin stories
and begatin more stillborn
anons and H's and bemoanin
that no one writes in form
or
porn
See if this didn't reek so much of King, I would have sworn it was social commentary.
