Thanks for liking the story. It's almost a cliché, though--the enemy soldiers coming together in human vignettes between trenches in WWI is the stuff of legends and the doing so to aid an animal was done as recently as "War Horse." So, this seems another case of the "unbelievable" aspect of a story being the part that was couched in existing scenarios. I just put a GM twist on it.
