Since I just got to read chapters 8 and 9 I thought I would make my comments here, in case you do not go back to read the comments once you have moved on to a new chapter. Yes, Evan got what he deserved, however, don't the parents and friends of Stephanie Glasgow deserve to know where her remains are? Don't they deserve to get a chance to properly put her to rest? Don't they deserve to know who killed her? And Joan is still guilty of being complacent and an accomplice after-the-fact in what happened to Stephanie, as she knew what Evan was like, yet she still enlisted his help in dealing with Stephanie. Joan's "confession" to Jane and Jimmy is not enough, and now they may also be guilty of being accomplices after-the-fact and obstructing justice if they don't convince Joan to confess to the police what she knows -- or "suspects" -- to the police. Either that, or they need to find a way to let the police know what they "suspect". I'm sorry, but this is still a loose end that needs to be tied up. If you're going to weave a complicated storyline, then there needs to be some amount of reality included.
Had I had a chance to read and comment on said chapters earlier -- I don't read the nonconsent/reluctance category -- I could have given you a suggestion to have Joan claim that Evan "confessed" to her what happened to Stephanie "during the hike", and that Joan, in a fit of rage upon learning the truth, violently pushed Evan, causing him to fall over the log where the rattlesnake bite him. The police might have accepted that explanation, and begun searching for Stephanie's remains. It would have been a further way of Joan trying to make amends for her life up to that point.
WOW!!!!!
One HOT story...how about another?
Comment regards last two chapters.
