I think you are partially right. The wife is somehow responsible. I have a feeling the wife is connected to the company. Either owner, employee, or relative of someone with the company. This is not the kid of company you would find on the internet or the "yellow pages".

Although I am enjoying the story, I must agree that I find the short chapters annoying. I like to read for more than five minutes at a time. Katie's unveiling should have been the start of chapter two. Or two should have started with the "why?". Either way would have worked. Now I have to wait for another scrap of story. Do you write it the same way?
