I liked this.

It has the ring of truth to it. It has none of the usual male cliches and for that reason I think the author is a woman. I'll read some more of your stuff. I liked the tension of loving/hating and the basic irrationality of it, describing, perhaps, the human condition. The story is playful, too, and I'll bet the author can be a lot of fun.
