You are right that most nude beaches and resorts are "family oriented". That means that there is no physical or intimate contact that you wouldn't see on a clothed beach.

In family oriented nude resorts and beaches, open sex is not tolerated. Also, the word, "nudist colony" is not used anymore, it is nude club or nude resort.
