It is dawn

A tremulous morning glory bud expands
Resembling a creamy pleated torpedo
The structure balloons in the muted daylight
Slowly revealing the delicate beauty within
Silky crepe paper with a turquoise blush
Opens in a pinwheel of blinding brilliance

Gentle winds reveal the exquisite inner structure
Defying man in its re-creation
The afternoon sun fades the colorful splendor
As magnificent violet hues shimmer from within
While the gentle sunset illuminates the sky
The pleated petals fold under and shrink away

It is dusk

Ethereal beauty.

How like a life is a flower. It appears only for a little while then vanishes away like a vapor from a teakettle leaving only the minds memory ~ to recall. Lovely!

A gentle telling of the moves of a light-sensitive flower.

The flow was nice. Your words are beautiful. I really think these lines were my favorite but I enjoyed the whole thing:)

Wow!!

Now that is how I expect poetry to be written!!

Clear, with vivid images left for us to conjure without being told every detail.

Awesomeeeeeee sack!! Bravo. ;-)

Very Beautiful

One that does not have a garden can in their minds eye live this flower's birth.. Rejoicing in it.. Even rejoicing at the end because for one bright moment it brought beauty into one's life.
