A Moment

A little girl of three or two
Sprawls across a bus seat blue
In pink and lavender she lies
Dark curls bunched on Grandma’s thigh

A woman glares disapprovingly
At this little child of two or three
Sprawled across the blue bus seat
There’s a moment here she cannot see
This little child won’t always be
Small enough to lie and sleep
Across the public blue bus seat

Her little hands so newly formed
Gripped one in each of other’s weathered worn
Little wrists hang from larger arms
This moment here will soon be gone

Lovely

Children ~ capture their moments well ~ for life is fleeting.

Lovely evocative rendering.

~~

Such a sweet moment so vividly portrayed

Child and Grandma

And a sour old lady with gas.
