A Scarlett Rose:
chapter 6 ~

"I Do Declare...!"

Summer breeze blowing north winds,
Spanish Moss hung in gray strands.
Southern stars over rippled water
oak trees shade the night crawlers.

The Chandeliers burned in a lighted way
as a sea of bodies, danced in sway.
On the balcony in soft southern lace
Miss Scarlett Rose in waltzing grace.

Captain Doodle held the Rose's hand,
to the music of the Baby Grand.
In his Union Blues and toe to toe
dancing with Miss Scarlett Rose.

A savored kiss, stopped the world
for a charmed and puckered, country girl!
Arms wrapped like fast moving Ivy,
around each other, holding tightly.

Lips played and teased
while breasts were squeezed.
Some quick darting glances
and to the bushes they're dashing.

To extinguish the flickering flame
that brewed urges over shame.
Fast hands removed clothes
naked and willing, Miss Scarlett Rose.

Lust loves harder than love
like the wing beats of a dove
pounding his passion in shoves,
a Rose bush shook with love.

Kissing hot breath in mix
panting and moaning a kiss
gripping in grasps and hold
river of love mingled to flow.

A breast in hand mashed
darting tongues dashed
lying in an after glow
looking down, Spanish moss row.

"I do declare...Doodle You do ... know how to take a girls breath away!"
A flushed Miss Scarlett did say.
They pressed together in lay

Horses and riders were coming fast
"The Rebels are coming, grab your pants!"
Captain Doodle began his charge
pistol pulled as Rebs reached the yard

Shots were fired ending the dance
soldiers in blue ran to advance.
A gray cloud rode up to the Hall
screams came, as soldiers would fall.

Captain Doodle firing rounds
Confederate soldier hit the ground.
Sergeant Sylvester rode up fast
his gun blazing in repeated blasts.

The two men's pistols fired a round
both men fell to the ground.
North and south became one
when no more firing was done.

Miss Scarlett often thinks of this night
the night she lost two loves, out right!
But now she sits and watches it grow
the 'new born' Miss Scarlett Rose.

~the end~

As usual Art your series are enchanting and realistic! I love the visuals here that are displayed in your rhetoric. The secret I love that you leave the ending to the heart and mind of the reader let them finish their own version! You are a master of the serial poem!

thank you for the read!

the grand finale

is a fitting end and appears a sequel could be forthcoming. I've pulled out my favorite spot:

Lips played and teased

while breasts were squeezed.

Some quick darting glances

and to the bushes they're dashing.

*********

i know that this piece is of a romantic nature and such. in a subliminal kind of way it has a blue and white collar play to it. i'd be referring to the tussle. this had a nice flow to it too art. wonderfully written.....don
