When they flip over
History's faded pages
And the last tyrrant
Is finally immortalized
While the mindless song birds
Scream from gilded cages

Will you have the strength
To laugh at the sages
To make light of your pain
To jest with your executioner
Spit in the eye of your jailers
Can you cast a smile for the ages

last smile

Last tyrrant ~ finally immortalized - will you cast a smile at your executioner as you take your leave.

It's so easy to

Mock petty tyrants

For their claim to glory

Is based on their impotence.
