How do you say goodbye
to one you never met?
How do you find the words
to note your deep regret?

What do you do
when there’s a tear that mists your eye?
For a man you never knew
but you know you’re going to cry?

Jim, my namesake,
I hope your soul flies true.
And soars above the world
As you take a final view.

I do not know the fate
of those who pass beyond
Yet I pray that it might be,
that you’ve found the final dawn.
