when the fog lifted in the morning
 waves of sand pealed
off the silent grasses
Blades sent crawling
single sheets sprawling
Wrapt in crinkles
of stained ardour
Ants scrolling and
leafs prowling
Cats bound and
purr around

Leaps of faith
abound
and then
again.

Lovely.

Delicate rendering ~ written with poignancy.

Loved your title

and loved your poem. I've got a thing for the word chimera. I've always liked the way it feels in my mouth while saying it. :D
