lips
like knives
cut through thick air and
from the wound
my waiting
           drips
down my round cheek
onto my round thigh
a
  tense
        little
               puddle
that you absorb

my shackled joy
unfolds its limbs and
s  t  r  e  t  c  h  e  s
towards
that which
absorbs
my chains
cut loose by
knives like
lips
