Click here--- a sonnet for lost practice ---
A whimper brings us running near to see
What hollow pain that longs to lifts its song,
But busy thoughts distract the mind too long
From greater pastimes missed so desperately.
I run like Alice, wasting time to build
A wondrous epic light for all to view,
But my heart cries for words that we all chew
And share like family in our little guild.
A sigh erupts and my voice cries "Hello!"
I want to cry and hug you all so dear.
Cause it's my words that came with ease, not fear,
When poets spoke, and I was their dear fellow.
A practiced art contains the grace of God,
It's worth revealing 'fore Time lays the sod.
An entirely lovely rendering ~ one directed at her fellow poets. Judo's love and kindness ~ humbles us all.
