I cannot remember
what I can’t seem to forget,
but it has something to do
with this sense of regret,
and a moon that is full
as an airtight balloon, and
the color is methane blue.

But what is it
I am trying
to remember?

It’s like the last time I saw you disappear.

First you were not here,
and then you were here,
and now you are gone
again, so close
I can almost still see you
as you will be slipping away,
and I wanted to say
something like I want you to stay,
but the syntax is all twisted
and I cannot remember
what I can’t seem to say.

You know...

... I seek out your poems but this one doesn't grab me.

I am not one to make negative comments (not that THIS is negative) without an explanation. I think it's the sporadic rhyme, for me it detracts from your usual passion.

Tess - with the best intentions
