I'll be better,
you'll see
tomorrow;
it's just some down days
sneaking up.
I am not sure how
many more tears
might touch my cheek;
today there were three
and counting.
But I'll get up;
today is better than yesterday
and I'm remembering
all the others
that I'd forgotten.
I will forget you too
and one day you will be
a barely recognized
recollection;
just another who left me
touched.
