I only had one look
in my yearbook
It was so easy to see
she really wanted to be
loved

I thought at first she was a freak
because her picture morphed from pretty to "eek"
Then to my surprise, I looked her eyes
she really wanted to be
loved

I have one really good source
the one who does most of the chores
she said you have had more than your share
of meat grinders, sidewinders, and a couple of bears
I can really see
all you wanna be
is loved

Now part of love is trust
but all you can see is "rust"
at most men, Jax scoffs
the "t" has fallen off
I imagine she'd rather take a monster truck
and run down all males who just want to fuck
It's so easy to see
all she wants to be
is loved

I was going to go another way
with this poem that I wrote today
I was going to talk about
the chicken you'd choke and eat out
But that seemed just a little rude
I don't want to always be lewd
Sometimes I feel like a teddy
But I don't know if you're ready
to be loved.

Sometimes these poems turn into songs
Sometimes they're short, other times long
Whenever I think of a girl
My mind just begins to whirl
I sit down and start to write
whatever my brain brings to light
But only 10 percent of the time
I can't find anything that rhymes
with "purple" and "orange" and others
I really don't know why I said that
Sometimes I strike out at bat

This poem, it just keeps going
And "going" rhymes well with "boing"
Just one letter difference
Don't think that this makes sense
But it's easy to see
all you wanna be
is loved.
