Awake again

Depression is like being drunk
You know not what you do
You are an unknown skunk
That forces you to undo

To tear down all you have built
Until every drop is spilt
Havoc is your intention
And you press on without redemption

Until the cloud has lifted
And your skies are clear once more
And you wonder how you existed
How did you get so sore?

You awake with the realisation
That you had been there before
And you experience the sensation
Of once more being able to soar
