...."BIRTH OF A NEW DAY...."
Giving birth
to the sun
A new day
has now begun
While God is planting
all his seeds
He takes care
of our petty needs
Now I see you
in a different light
Not the way I
saw you last night
I have my moments
but I'll never let you down
But knowledge has now replaced
my smile with a frown
Now I'm doing
what I thought I couldn't do
Trying to move on
without you
Guess it was just the calm
before the storm hit
Now the "eye" has caught up
and gave me a big fit
With this new day
I try to stay
"templeminded"
And hope that I'm
not blind sided
While losing my
rock steady
I brace myself
and think I'm ready
But like a picture
in a broken frame
I fall out
and show my shame
The lord made me
hard to handle
Like fire burning on
both ends of a candle
So while I wait for the birth
of another new day
I'll let my fath
show me the way
