Butterfly
by Tom_Perdu

Butterfly
Fluttering into my life you came
A vivid flash of colour, like a flame.
Bedazzled by your beauty I just gaped -
You could, without resistance, have escaped;
But settling on me you, with lightest brush,
Transformed my life, like everything you touch.
Until you spied a yet more bright display
And flew erratically on your way.

~~

Affections like the butterfly are truly fickle creatures.
