His sleeping smile makes him boyish,
Leaves me longing.
Tender touches to his face.
Fragile is his spirit.
For love holds no promises.

I gather my clothes under midnight's cloak,
Deaf is my love.
Stolen moments are temporary.
Time steals them back.
Forbidden passion danced here.

Contentedly he tosses on our playground,
I stand by the door.
Riding the tail of passion now spent,
He sleeps...I leave.
Candy Coated Whispers live here.
