Canned Laughter!

Have you ever thought of "Canned laughter?"
Its used mostly on the "Sit-Com" shows.
It's a trick used by TV Producers,
Because the "punch-lines" are such rotton prose!

The commedy shows of yesterday,
Like "Honeymooners," and "Jack Benny,"
Had a live audience to entertain,
And needed no recorded "whinny!"

The "punch-lines" were mostly all funny,
And even the "Laid eggs" got a laugh.
The commedians we had in the past,
Knew just how to respond to a "gaff!"

When producers moved up the ladder,
All the humorists fell by the way.
That's the way that "Canned Laughter" got started,
And why we have "Canned Laughter" today!!
