Out of the tears of the
sorrow of my life,
you fell beside me.

I sank in the knowledge
of your green eyes as
you rolled me
in your hands
and held me by
your lips, until

your breath liquefied me
and tattooed me to your
passions.

My hands fluttered along
your puckering breasts,
spending their course as
you sighed and moved.

Your body undulating
ruthlessly charmed me,
holding me enthralled,
cradling me
in webs of days and
months,
tangled in reams
of hair and skin.

Held, until there were
sunsets and risings
and passings that would
whisper to me
the questions of flesh.
I lay a casualty of
your loins,
hobbled by lust and
your green devouring eyes.

Finally, you rustled away.
The
emptiness of my hands
ache
and involuntarily draw
themselves to cup
the air of where
you lay.

You peeled me away
until only sinew and
marrow lay,
heaving and depleted
beside the warmth
you left,
damned to sleep the torment
of the absence of your
body,
your breasts,
and wet lips.

To lie consumed by
craving for you
to fall beside me
and to haul down the
sky and bandage the
darkness around us.

as usual...

your ability to capture the pathos and agony of the human spirit amazes ... I don’t think one person could not empathize with what you describe here. The grief of love gained and then lost speaks to each of us.
