Red hair, red birds, red socks
have all conspired together.
As such, these words shall flow.

Five foot four of sunset,
soft, smooth, red and pale.
Speaks words of light
and hard fought wisdom
to those who listen well.

Yet from this sunset shall come not night
a new day shall rise forth
with gentle care
and a dazzling radiance
a clear sky shall see its course.

All who see this bright new day
shall smile and hear a song
of strength and joy,
confidence and peace,
to last a lifetime long.

The vision of this red hair beauty ~ breathtaking; yet still I wonder at her fiery temper.

this is a nice poem

Enjoyable and smooth read, with some interesting phrases and details. It didn't rock my world but gave it a good pebbling, which will get it mentioned on the new poems review thread.

although

I really loved this part-

Five foot four of sunset,

soft, smooth, red and pale.

Speaks words of light

and hard fought wisdom

to those who listen well.

it felt as though part of the story was missing, is there more on the way?

Bet more often!

This is wonderful! I think irishcatsmeow owes you a tribute poem just for this!

Great title....

great first line, great poem. See, L&F, you can be inspired by losing a bet. For those who are interested...L&F and i had a bet on the World Series...the loser had to write a tribute poem to the other. L&F, thank you...you did a beautiful job. I'm (almost) speechless and you know that rarely happens.
