**

the invitation arrives
laced in sleepy tones
and an enticing edge
as always, his warm breath seduces me
making me crawl eagerly forward
into his imperfect world

whispering promises of naught
but demanding my lips
in quiet service to his need
he fills me
entering my veins, pulsing
as his mouth breathes
the spoken word
to my ignorant body
teaching it a secret language
educating it from pebbled peaks
down to the lusty wet native
shrouded by a tendril forest

this devious lover
craftily invades my blood
and through his lips I'm made whole
assaulted by drugging pleasure and pain
during a tortuous night
of weeping candles
and seductive melting wax
my aching body quivering
burying this subtle pain
welcoming all he has to give
arching in receipt of his darkened touch
as I cry 'now will you kiss me forever?'

his silence blankets me
as he withdraws his touch
which makes me question
'you would have me beg for those kisses?'
the vagaries of his lust
stings more than the dripping wax
and my lips move to form the plea
that will bring his back...
'tell me, what's the cost of forever my love?'
