Sweetheart tell me are you fast asleep?
Cos that’s the time when I can really speak
I can say the things that I most fear
I can say those words that you long to hear
When you’re dreaming
When you’re tucked away
You might not hear me but the words I say
Linger in the night
Like a mist of reassurance
Dissipating with the coming light
When you’re unsuspecting
When you’re unaware
I can say those words and I know that’s its not fair
But when you are awake I’m so very afraid of
Saying those words; Sweetheart, it is you that I do love

Speak up, Harry. She wants to hear what you have to say.

I thought this poem was excellent. It hit the heart with truths in rewinding mental images of such a night. TY

There you are girls,

The secret's out;

When you're fast asleep

Your strong man lets his guard down

And turns soft and mushy.
