Night is falling around us, a blackness so dense
light is

Forbidden to escape.

Our love once abundant is now stale and

Remorseful, not invigorating and pure as it was in the

Begining.

We are sorry we are together instead of being happy to be

Together.

Routine love making, dry as ancient desert bones,

Has replaced our epic nights of sweaty bliss, and

Screaming until our lungs bled out.

We grunt good morning salutations, we never touch lips

Anymore.

When I was sick you were bowling, when you were greiving

I was working late.

Our dramas leaked into holidays with family and friends,

I was drunk and you were furious and flew into a

Rage in front of my family.

I belittled you in front of yours.

Now night is falling around us and the end is near, we

Will be walking away from this and towmorrow we

Won't even care.
