Don’t say the words if you don’t mean them,
I don’t want to hear it if its not true,
Don’t wreck it for me just because I believe,
In things that you cant even imagine.

Don’t smile at me,
Because I know the truth,
You don’t believe in what I see,

Don’t whisper the words I long to hear,
It’s not the same if you don’t mean it,
So your silence wouldn’t hurt as much as this,

Don’t let me think that we fit,
Like two pieces of a puzzle,
Because I don’t need your sympathy,

I now understand what you weren’t saying,
The blinds have been removed from my eyes,
It hurts to think about it,

But I know I can do better then you,
So don’t try and stop me as I walk out the door,
It’s happened to many times already,

I want my heart intact when I leave,
I don’t want my dreams shattered,
I don’t want to cry over you.

Bittersweet

This makes my heart ache because I can relate so well to the feelings here. I also sense strength in your words. A wish for something that won't come true with one person, but could with another.
