As she rests dark creatures feed
on nectar oozing from her
flower. Unfolding petals
with their rough tongues, they suck sweet
juices from her. She smiles at
their drooling lips and bends to
satisfy their wild hungers.
Gulls inhale her high-pitched sighs
and crabs cower from her heat.
At twilight she dreams the sky
aflame with gold and red and
bids the magic bull appear
to be her wicked lover.
Exhausted by his glory
she lies prostrate on the beach.
Scorpions crawl on her legs
seeking morsels of her bliss,
and demons of pleasure play
uncanny music throughout
the moonless night of her sleep.
She wakes to her father's light.
Her nipples throb with pain and
her thighs are sore. There is a
deep ache in her soft belly.
A garden spreads before her
as a dark labyrinth and
somewhere in its passages
a child is quietly crying.
A boat with a black sail glides
into the harbor and the
great beast returns to the sea.

I have read many of your poems and I must say that this has to rank as one of your best. I have read it over many times. The imagery is absolutely incredible! I get a dreamy feeling reading it. Highly erotic, beautiful poetry. Magnificent piece!
