hung like a spider's web
above my head
inter twined twine
and feathers
that feather the breeze
from the humming A.C.

slumber came and carried me
into a dream
where I lived with strange things
like floating in the air
and cold blank stares
from those who sat on clouds
their thoughts were loud

mice chased cats
and horses rode men
owls were made of smoke
as they screeched out a haiku
the grass was baby blue
and then I knew
in my awakening

I had snared a dream
