DWARF

At birth I was stunted.
I may be little,
But I am also dominant.
I’m like a golfer,
Or a bowler
Where a handicap
Comes into play.
You can call me “Ant”
Out of respect
As I’m not
An ordinary midget.

:)

I'm not quite sure where you are going with this, but it is intriguing, maybe the hidden, or obvious meaning will hit me later :)
