Easter Dreams

five years ago Easter
all my dreams came true
because that was the day
I opened my heart to you

there is so much to say
where do I begin
I'll start with something simple
like this silly little grin

it crosses my face
stretching ear to ear
my heart can't help but smile
whenever you're near

then there's my soul
what can I say
it's filled with more love
with each passing day

you are the only one
who makes my heart leap
who makes my cheeks blush
like the red of your jeep

the ups and the downs
every moment we share
the good and the bad
nothing can compare

it doesn't seem possible
that five years have gone by
five years of being blessed
with my amazing blue eyed guy

five years of mayhem
and you are still by my side
the only one in this world
from whom I don't hide

you know all my dreams
all my hopes and my fears
and yet you haven't run screaming
in all these years ??!! :)

don't know what i did
to deserve someone like you
know that every day is a gift
blessed by all that you do
