In the kingdom of the sky
a lifetime is an afternoon.
Obsessions last for nanoseconds.
Castles are built on gusts of wind.
Civilizations crumble every morning.
Love is paper cuts flapping in the wind.
Love is fireflies in the gathering darkness.
Grains of pollen land on my tongue, and
I bow to your fleeting imperium.
You stroke my hair in gratitude,
but I'm not there. I've moved on.

Beautiful

and a nice fluid feel to it

It felt perhaps

unfinished, this poem. I love your work, but this is perhaps not your best though there are as ever wonderful evocations of time and space in words. Come onto the Forum? x
