A raging battle
the sinking sun,
your fiery eyes
have just begun.

In the gloaming
not light nor dark,
my crimson whispers
ignite a spark.

Gentle reprimands
my opinion dismissed,
screaming of love
you waive clenched fist.

Contradicting my dreams
in your ardent display,
I refuse to learn
how to love this way.

Can’t you see
as our love dies?
I just don’t understand
your fiery eyes.
