Can’t stand all the worry
Can’t stand to be helpless
No hope anymore

So many young fates
So many young faces
Robbed of their beginning

And I stand, and I wonder
Why I dream of perfection
Utopia Wonderland
Just to be crushed
When reality wakes me

And I stand, and I wonder
How the world keeps on turning
Ignoring the pain
When so much is so wrong
And will never be well

Because whatever we reach for
Will slip through our fingers
Just teasing, not ever healing
The wounds we sustained
While striving for a dream

~~

Wishes, hopes, and dreams;

Reaching for them causes such pain.

Yet without them life becomes so barren.

Weary and discouraged ~ Though far off ~ still I follow my dreams
