Cherished trinkets of brilliant shine
Upon a shelf in a treasured line
Once touched and caressed each day
Never left to dull and gray

Most cherished trinket of all above
Once adorned in pride and love
Displayed in steel and unbound hair
Now lays dormant, forgotten there

Dusty cobwebs stain her soul
Unfed embers takes its toll
Untamed heart frozen in time
Going through motions … such a crime
