A flickering light
over a well-worn mattress
stains of yesteryear

rancid odors furrow
bulging belly
a slurred grin

mocked smile
fake lust
"Mm, I want you"

the bills
the heartache
disolve with each John

the shame, humiliation grows

another day, another lay
through clenched teeth
I smile

a distant memory
of a small girl lost
wandering,
with a tear in her eye

she was me
escaped Daddy's gaze
fleed to safety

safe in the arms
of Uncle Ben
a childhood lost

"Fuck me, Daddy"
he wants me to say

if only he knew

simply great!

Some of the images are unpleasant, yet they just add to the power of the poem!

Excellent

Powerful phrasing and sharp images. Very well written, dm.

Getting better and better

Showing me how much further I have to go.

Why in the hell aren't you putting out books of this stuff?
