I see the smile slide from your face,
we both know it’s time.
No matter what happens,
remember who held on.

And who let go.

Remember the flame,
burning bright in my chest.
Don’t forget it was you,
who blew that flame out.

With your naked breath.

Take a few minutes,
sit in your room and ponder.
The good times we had.
The passion that existed,

Between the two of us.

And realize sweet sorrow,
who walked away.
While I had been giving,
you were lusting after her.

But she doesn’t want you.

And I’m so far gone.
