Under the duvet
Covered to my nose
Here comes
Another glorious day
I cheered and hallowed
Not at all!
Shining Boxes and plenty of dust
Are floating with my head
The end?
Last resort -King Kong
is my friend
Not half a mile away
I sent him
To the beltway
Cherry picking
Nasty little traffic buzzers
Channel four
Five
Seven
Nine
It’ll be any minute now!
Nine seven five four...
Shhhh… I am sleeping
King…

I'm not sure what the Frank O'Hara challenge is but I got a kick out of this poem.

Reality based fantasy

Oh, I wish it was only a dream. When you leave a certain distance from the beltway you may need to resort to some constructive fantasies... So, let's call it reality based fantasy.

is this your take on the Frank O'Hara challenge? Either way it's very good. I'm off to recommend it in today's new poem reviews. Thanks for the read!
