The Pilgrims were a happy clan
  who happily ate turkey,
but reasons for their happiness
  may seem a little murky..

Few people know the reason
  they stopped at Plymouth Rock,
for there were better places
to place their boat in dock..

They wrote in their journal
  of their ever-growing fear..
You see these happy Pilgrims
  were nearly out of beer..

Their kegs were nearly dry,
so they took down their sail
and landed there at Plymouth
to brew a batch of ale..
