In the heat of the day
when all thats real slips away
I long for the night
to hide me, allow my escape
I run I run
in circles in this hell
I run faster harder
fat circles beneath my eyes
Finally the night
I wear it as a cloak
breath deep the stench is gone
clear, crystal, thoughts
long strides hollow night secure
complete solidified concrete
no gods no heaven no hell,
I let go...grasp no longer
let this body fall...wanted no longer
freedom
