HER

Her eyes shone like amber fire
Or is it just the shining sun
Would she not desire,
To walk in the park or have some fun
She seems sad to me
Maybe a smile would crack her lips
If I only knew the trick and cause the mood to flee
Would she like to take a cooling dip?
Maybe she doesn’t know how to swim
Or does she fear the touch of water
Does she think me grim?
When I say the world is a wash
She is so full of pride
I would very much like her for my bride
