he longed for his lips
to touch her lips
as she whispered the truth
the holy word
into his mouth

he longed for his hands
to wander the dunes
of her soft-as-sand body
searching for
the oasis of
her glistening honey
his soul-quenching manna

he longed for her legs
to part like the sea
of long ago
as he raised his staff
to an aching sky

he longed for the place
where her body converged
to a sensitive point
a bright star in the night
which beckoned him

he longed to worship
her heavenly beauty
with a passionate prayer
spoken in tongues
to her parted flesh

he longed to chant
her sacred name
over and over
like an ancient song
as he thrust his body
deep into hers
over and over
as he thrust his essence
deep into hers
over and over
and her walls would come tumbling down
destroyed through rapture
reborn in ecstasy
