seems I can't get you
out from
in between

not sticking to one
or the other,
always with a slip
right down the middle
of things

flashlights search the sky
climbing up the light scatter
until the swirled staircase ends
in mist and glow

tap on shoulder,
fingernail dig on knees
rumbles from below
remind me to breathe

slowly
in the middle

of the moon
the stars,

of you and me
and everything
in between

Oh yes... once again

you've done something magical. The words flow so easily.

I loved the lines:

"flashlights search the sky

climbing up the light scatter

until the swirled staircase ends

in mist and glow"

wow... such poetry. Excellent poem.

a portion

This one is like looking at a small piece of a tapestry, or opening to the middle of a book and reading just enough.

I liked the line "climbing up the light scatter." :)
