Not ashamed one bit of what happened
One thing led to another
Got caught up in the heat of the moment
Now I'm having his baby and I could't be prouder
Just know deep down in my heart of hearts
He's gonna keep his promise
He's gonna leave her to marry me
Yeah, he is

Lost the moment he saw me
Waiting there for him
Wearing next to nothing
Eager to meet
Skin to skin
Offered him up a cold brew and a hot babe
How could he resist?
He did't and that's how I know for sure

It was't just sex or some cheap thing like that
Nope, I know for sure that night
We made love, sweet love
Underneath the stars
Just like she had ask us to do
We got to know one another better
A whole lot better
If you know what I mean

Kinda funny that he has't spoken to or looked my way since
Even sorta acts kinda sorry
Don't know why
Guess he's just being a man
Going through one of them silly moods before he tells her the truth
About how just a couple weeks ago we set that truck to rockin'
Wonder just when my studly one is gonna break down and tell mama the truth that he's leavin'
Can't be stayin' no more
That's for darn sure
After what happened....

In the back of my stepfather's truck

So true, so true

A story written and told every day across this flat earth.

And destined to be told again and again. You nailed it.

Love, like a drug, will always win and always leave you blind.
